Jesus, Beautiful One, who walked in love before us,
You shared your life and showed us what love should be.
That Honor is Important, that Charity is Beauty.
That Justice is required, that Truth illuminates All.
That Compassion heals the Heart,
that Forgiveness does not Judge.
Through your love, we looked at God.
And through your true love, in the Living of your life,
We learned to look at ourselves, to look at our world.
In the day, in the light, softly glowing,
I see your footprint before me. I see your love
as you turn with a torch in your hand, to tell me one thing:
<em>I lived, and I lived beautifully. I loved.
Now walk forth and Love All that you May.</em>
And I do. I put my cheek next to yours,
next to you. O Beautiful, Beautiful One.
Jesus, Love before me, Love at my side.
